Doyle Ranstrom has over 25 years of experience in financial services. He obtained his certification as a Certified Financial Planner® professional in 1990 and obtained a Master's degree in Financial Planning in 1993, both from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, with honors in 1973 with a major in psychology and minors in sociology and religion. After graduation from Concordia, he worked for five years as an administrator in the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, after which he entered the financial services business. He started Ranstrom Financial Planning in the fall of 1984.
Ryan Berg joined the firm in 2003. He is primarily responsible for our fee-based financial planning, qualified retirement plan services, and tax planning. He is from Bisbee, North Dakota, and is a 1997 graduate of Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota, with majors in Accounting and Business Administration. He obtained his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in 1999, CFP certification in 2002, and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) certification in 2003. Prior to joining RFP, he worked for Shauer & Associates, PC in Jamestown and Wade Financial Group in Minneapolis.
Stephanie Schilling graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2006 with a degree in Mass Communications. While completing her degree, she interned at New Rivers Press where she was a copy editor and worked closely with author Lisa Gill to produce Lisa's book of poetry: Mortar & Pestle. In doing so, Stephanie earned a Publishing Certificate. Stephanie began working at RFP in the summer of 2006. Her responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations and transaction processing.
Morgan Ranstrom joined the firm in September 2008. After graduating with honors and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, in May 2007, he spent the next year teaching English in Peru and traveling throughout South America. In the summer of 2008 he did an internship for Harbour Investments, Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin. In addition to working at our firm, he is enrolled in a post-graduate program. His responsibilities include portfolio analysis, communications, and technology.
Courtney Ranstrom began working for the firm in January 2008 on a part-time basis and started full time in February 2009. She graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, in December 2001. She obtained her MBA from Willamette University in May 2005. She has also obtained her Certified Internal Auditor designation (CIA). Since then she worked as an internal auditor for the State of Oregon and most recently West Coast Bank. She lives in Salem, Oregon. Though she will spend part of her time in Fargo, the reality of a virtual office makes it possible to do everything from her workplace in Salem just as if she was sitting at a desk in our Fargo office. Her responsibilities include client services, research, marketing, and business and personal financial analysis.
